I think Matan richly deserved an award for past services over the years. Estel, on the other hand -- I think he is mainly great for things he is trying to do now, and for contributions in the Talk department.

And the Council? Well, you win, you deserve loot, right? I'm sure they won't be grateful just because Nokia gave them valuable gifts...

Who's Matan Ziv-Av (matan), and why his latest post in this forum is from January 2011? Why he deserves a N950 as now as today more than e-yes?

His submission detailing (some of) his contributions was posted to the mailing list and is linked in the wiki page, same as everyone else's. Recent posts on the forum where never among the selection criteria. Are you deliberately ignorant or just trolling?

Indeed :) If you've missed out on a community award please have a think about our friendly coding competition. New members, older members, beginners to app development - you're all welcome to join in. I'll also be expecting applications from our new community champions to support our community coding competition ;) Roll up, roll up!

Unfortunately I didn't win, but when seeing these (great) names I wasn't in the competition at all :)

Congratulations, to all winners. You all deserve it!

Whoa, I just checked my email today, and it seems that I'd won a N9.

This is awesome, thanks Council!

Now that we've got that over with, is anybody else curious as to what color these N9s come in? So far I know they're 16GB, but that won't matter as I'd be pushing media from my storage behemoth N900.

Congrats Hurrian :) I believe they are all black - no magenta for you!

Of course I took a look to the submission, and no, I am not trolling.
I'm talking on giving a N950, wich is, remember, a Harmattan development kit. And sure he did valuable contributions to the maemo community in the past, but honestly, i think the device will be in better hands of a dev who actually target & develops to the platform, like e-yes, than a guy who made Diablo/N810 submissions 2 years ago.

And I say this with all the respect for him and his contributions.
