I saw in one video the user unlock the screen with a double tap. I hope Nokia doesn't sue them.

So if it runs on N950 it should be able to run on N9, right?

I don't think a double tap can be patented; that's like saying you could sure a company for using a button to power on a phone.

press shift 5 times, and toggle sticky keys ;)

You have a point though, a hwkb would be great. Hopefully with them developing on the n950 they would have included kb support

Don't be so sure about the U.S. Patent Office. Apple succeeded in patenting rounded rectangles and slide to unlock.

Yeah there has been far more obvious things patented than double tap to unlock the phone.

Jolla did say that they were in no danger to be sued by Nokia. I think they as partly the team who were developing harmattan have some agreements with Nokia. Nokia did the same with some other people/teams who left Nokia to establish their own company.

I don't see anything ground breaking to be honest, sure it looks pretty nice.
But there is nothing to get me to switch over to it - yet.

I need an upgrade, the N9 is just too slow now, as soon as that stupid smartsearch or tracker kicks in then messages don't show up in my inbox immediatley. But it is like 3 year old tech.

it's either going to Jolla or BB10 as the next upgrade for me. Too early to judge Jolla quite yet.

Next 6 months are going to be interesting! Are we gonna have to go with BB10 or is Jolla going to give us something truly powerful? Needs to be at least dual core, > 8mp camera and good build quality.

btw, are there any physical appearance of the real phone?
hope it does come with physical keyboard too.

They showed us at least 10 different devices that are able to run sailfish. They said the device comes in in the morning and the adaptation is ready by 4am next morning. Sounds promising. No demo of those devices though.
