They are completely separate so you have to register. I run both of them though.

Maemo folks, I just found out about this now. Remember Nokia's Maemo security guru Elena Reshetova? Looks like she's now with Intel and is now working on security for Tizen.

Nice.

"Nice" is not an adjective I would normally associate with Aegis.

I cant believe so many here are bashing tizen. I am sure it is where a lot of the maemo people from Nokia have ended up(Intel or Samsung or somewhere) after the burning platform MeeGo elopalypse brain drain.

And if Samsung's previous history is any guide, there will be at least a few devices put out to market with tizen. I am actually pretty impressed that they have already a development device...

i am thinking if Intel can get chips efficient enough(therefore not having to make everything for arm) + Samsung super fast manufacturing and device rollout + qt + html5 + android compatibility layer + user accessible Linux base = my money and probably world domination.

the image represents Tizen on ExoPc slate... Now AFAIK ExoPc is a x86 device.. and we also know samsung haven't limited itself to anything not even ARM..

is Tizen going to take on Windows 8 on x86

Re: The TIZEN Thread

Tizen IVI is basically MeeGo. That's why there are already images for x86 devices available.
