@jpala16

use the same nitdroid.manifest file .

and try the solution i posted above

Make sure you downloaded the files manually
and move both files to .nitdroid directy

like i posted before

Quote:

try to move
N12_UMay.tar.bz2
and
kernel file in

.nitdroids folder ...
connecting ur mobile via Pc or
use FileBox (recommend)

Move both files to
/home/user/MyDocs/.nitdroid

and execute the same commands process ..

U WILL ABLE TO INSTALL NOW . WITHOUT ANY ERROR
IT WILL WORK FOR U 100 %

Thanks man, but I also tried that solution. Just because you're trying to help me I'll give it another try. Will edit if I see any change.
I copied the file over an SSH connection (Wifi), or downloaded through Wifi. Could that be? Gonna test right now.

Hi Fabry, I'm new and I don't know how to contact you in private...
by the way, I've installed android on my n900 but i still have some problems for example wifi gives me problems sometimes and the 3g data doesn't work!
I didn't upgrade android could be this the problem?
I'm italian and it would be easier to share information in pvt!
thanks a lot.

Re: [How To] Nitdroid-Installer: install GingerBread N12 UMay

I have corrected an error on latest manifest (wrong kernel name) and then I have personally tested the procedure.

For me IT HAS WORKED at first attempt (N12 downloaded and then installed on SD).

Be aware that you must manually connect N900 to Internet (with WiFi or UMTS), Nitdroid-Installer will NOT open internet connection automatically

I am not a very expert of Nitdrod's problems but if you want you can contact me by pvt.

Furthermore for Italian support I suggest you to look at http://www.smartphonetab.net/forum/forum.php also

Do you guys have internet working?

yeah, add all the settings, such as APN, Proxy number etc etc, but don't add the username and password.

then press the camera key halfway, so you'll go back and check the two boxes about data being enabled, you should see a G or 3G sign on the status bar, ignore it and reboot your phone and you should be connected!
