N9 PR1.2: birthday calendar without reminders

Hi,

is it possible to use the new birthday calendar (automatically generated out of the contacts birthday) without this reminder (1.5 days ahead)?

Also, on my side, is there a way to set the reminder, the anniversary day at 10:00am for all anniversary dates ?

I also wonder if setting reminder time for Birthday type events is possible? I asked the same in the Calendar dedicated thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...32#post1174532 nobody had the answer.
Now when bugzilla is closed it is hard to file a request about this.

Wow I'm pretty upset with Nokia about the crap support on the n9. IHave this problem too. every time a contact has a birthday coming up i get a stupid reminder two days in advance. I tried changing the default reminder settings but that didn't work. I tried deleting the birthday calendar and now there's no way to make it regenerate my contacts birthdays again even after I restarted the device! So many damn bugs on this phone!

You can delete birth date from the contact.
Contact>choose contact to edit> then delete birthdate.

Thanks, but I can't delete an info from Social Networks (facebook or skype).

Any other solution? And for adding a new entry to the calendar?

Over change Offset in table Alarms in /home/user/.calendar/db

for 10:00 offset = 36000 (in seconds)
default offset = -36h (-129600 seconds)

Thank gnomeblack !!!

By the way I'm not able to access the directory '/home/user/.calendar/', even as 'user' or as 'root' ...

Any idea ?

Ok, good point, I have managed the modification ...

However, if I create new contact and add a birthday, then by default the value '-129600' is added to the table Alarm for this new contact ...

Do you know where is the code causing this default value to be added ?

Re: N9 PR1.2: birthday calendar without reminders

colin.stephane,

1) SSH from PC. p.ex. with WinSCP or other.

2) Problem in plugin "libbirthdayplugin.so" (/usr/lib/contactsd-1.0/plugins/). Probably have to change the source code for "contactsd".

Now there are so:
setStartOffset(KCalCore :: Duration( -36 * 3600 /* seconds */));

..

P.S. In libbirthdayplugin.so
offset 00053114

code for change C0 15 00 E3 00 20 A0 E3 FE 1F 4F E3

Its number FFFE05C0 = -129600

But correcting any digit in this number -> crashing work of plugin.

Re: N9 PR1.2: birthday calendar without reminders

I just deactivated the birthday calender because of the notifications.
But it would be better to see the entries in calender without notifications.

Re: N9 PR1.2: birthday calendar without reminders

I dont know ways to do it. In any case, changin the library "libbirthdayplugin.so" or "contactsd" is needed.
