Hello folks!

We (Tanya Makava, Vlad Vasilieu and me) have decided to finally release our application into open water, so please welcome:

Very nice. :)

I was unable to add a location using the 'Set location' button. Tapping the button resulted in no response. When I launched the applicaton using the terminal, I got an error stating that the config.xml file was already open. I would post the output here, but I can't find any way to copy/paste output from the terminal. Adding a location from the settings worked fine. :)

The only obvious enhancement I can think of would be to somehow incorporate a SectionScroller component when choosing the location values. It took me ages to scroll down to Wigan in the list of cities. ;)

EDiT: One other tiny thing that I noticed is that you cannot scroll to the bottom of the 'About' screen when in landscape mode. I would guess that the contentHeight property of the Flickable component is set incorrectly. I notice that the application stays in portrait mode when the HWKB is closed, so it is not an issue that will affect N9 users anyway. :)

Yes I use OMWeather but with CSSU and on portrait menu isn't look nice that MeeCast.

Is it dependant on Qt Components? cause they have been uploaded to another repository (in Dropbox) which I think is unfortunate.

As far as I know if you are going to use qt-components the package in extras-devel wont work. You have to use packages from this repository instead:

You also have to make some small changes to your program to get it working on fremantle. For more information see http://wiki.maemo.org/QtComponents.

It works! Can't wait to have N9 :-)

I noticed few problems with N900 MeeCast. I have CSSU installed and if phone is in portrait mode when I start MeeCast, icons for refresh and menu are missing. Icons are shown correctly if I start it in landscape mode. MeeCast crashed also few times but I could not get any clear reason for those crashes.

I have also one suggestion. Change wind icon to show actual wind direction. If it winds from North show arrow from up to down and so on. One solution for this could be using two image elements and getting angle of the arrow from the wind direction property.

you guys probably should wait for a while cuz new Qt-components have not been overridden on already Qt-components so there can be such problems..wait for the final product and then sure we will have it ,nice & rocking ))

If you want to solve a orientation problem,add omweather-qml to blacklist in /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini
