guys,

for those who are successfully logon to Whatsapp using this app in Windows PC, could you please tell me what is inside "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\org\pet erbjornx\whatsapp\storage" ? who knows we can set the password and username mannualy.. looks like the registration process are not working?

I was receiving the same error messages as some others during the registration progress, so I decided to sniff around a little and found that the .jar did not write the correct information to a key at
Code:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\org\peterbjornx\whatsapp\storage
Missing information was:
Code:

/P/H/O/N/E/N/R
I just entered my phone number (without country code) and restarted the .jar, which is now fully functional.

Gonna test it out on my N900 in a minute (will report back with results).
Thanks to didik.wahyono (for the registry hint) and of course Peter.

Edit: Got it working on my N900 by modifying the same key, found in:
Code:

~/.java/.userPrefs/org/peterbjornx/whatsapp/storage/prefs.xml
Keyname is, again:
Code:

PHONENR
The fix to the registration error is simple; just add your phone number to the key at either location, depending on whether you're using Windows or Linux.

I would love to remember, its just I read it somewhere.

I just found the post I read and, ironically, it was from you :P just proves the internet is funny :D

I belive I was corrected on this issue, you can select a file/photo from the file manager/photo viewer, and select share>IM. I've never used the feature though.

Thanks everyone who work for the Whatsapp port and the java jvm tutorial on N9.
I've just make the port run on N9 but I can't find a way to type number even with the btinput.:p
Only a-z work on my bt keyboard. It a shame n950 not sold publicly.
I can use the .jar on my PC and with the voice verification.
Great work!

btw, this is my first post;)

Hey ffha, I inserted a new string value in the registry as you said, with the value being my phone number without the country code, and it didn't work.
How can I edit the key in my n900?
If you could post the steps please.
