Re: power button broken
I might confuse it but was it not like
N950 powers on when USB power connected N9 dods not power on N9 with R/D flag set by flasher.powers on Again I might be wrong but it should not be dependent on the developer mode/shell. |

No one said anything about develsh, a special shell with some more capabilities than 'normal' root rights. And you can only login to that after getting root by issuing 'devel-su'. But again: why are you asking for "develsh"? |
Re: power button broken
Cuz I wanna use Cal writer (it's the only way I know to successfully downgrade the n9)
|
Re: power button broken
Uh oh, dangerous operation that is. Especially if one does not know how to get to the starting point.
Activate developer mode in settings menu Open the terminal from shell icon in app drawer Get root with 'devel-su' and rootme as password (or yours) Type 'develsh' Happy bricking! Why do you want to downgrade? |
Re: power button broken
Yeah the problem is I already tried that before I asked it just says sh: develsh: Operation not permitted
As to your question of why I want to downgrade? The answer is simple I don't like pr003 I have successfully done it before in the past through http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=99678 flashing 003 back didn't fix my cmt issue back then so i put my phone away in a box and recently rediscovered it wanting to repourpose it in some way and frankly would like to get back to 001 as it felt good |
Re: power button broken
Oops, one thing coming to my mind. Which could be the cause.
You are most probably using the standard Nokia kernel? As I used from the very beginning an open kernel! So you can test and flash ubiboot kernel or just load it via flasher. I am sure that is the reason. And I have no idea how to get around without open kernel... |
Re: power button broken
But you can't overwrite Cal In openmode it locks rewriting cal
