Re: Printing Poll
Haven't tried yet, but just due to a lack of time. Otherwise, my answer would be that more apps need to support it. Yes, it's big, but being able to print would be a big help!

Well, this is true, but now we have a reason to add print to the apps? Judging from the responses thus far, I am not thinking that many maemo developers are going to consider adding support anytime soon. Luckily, I can add the support to apps myself using XFCE, and perhaps later KDE, printing from konq would be nice. I finished compiling XFCE again now with cups support. Now I will be looking to add some apps that I can use. Currently the gqview is a great image viewer, with slidshows, and you can print your pictures from it. EDPF which I included does not seem to support printing, so a new pdf viewer with printing support is a must. A browser you can print from is a must. I have not had any luck compiling full mozilla/seamonkey/firefox but I wonder how it would run. Konqeror runs good on n800. |
Re: Printing Poll
Hmm...sounds interesting so I went ahead and installed it.
Of course, I don't own a printer just use one at work. |
Re: Printing Poll
Alright, who voted for me to just go away,
oh well cant make everyone happy, especially when your not trying!!! |
Re: Printing Poll
I would love the ability to print, but being a noob, I'm not too confident in going through the steps you have marked out. A deb would be nice.

Re: Printing Poll
Penguinbait, nice work! This may come slowly, but you've made a great improvement. I was waiting for the update to create room for it.

EDIT: I figured it out. I had not set a default printer. Now I am going to try to print PDFs from the command line. |
