Finally, it was about time

Re: [Link] Official Sailfish OS forum
As you say, about time too.
OTOH, how long before there are more user interest sites than there are users? If they got this far without a user forum, might it have been better to throw support behind an existing forum (like t.m.o ?) |
Re: [Link] Official Sailfish OS forum
Actually as I checked it out it seems to me more complicated than the current TJC structure.
I am sure that must be because it is new and askbot is familiar to me :) I wonder why they did not just port the userbase over from TJC, now one must re-register to the site "by self" even as the same jolla-credentials are used. |
Re: [Link] Official Sailfish OS forum
My first experiences -
1 - When typing a post, the text box is in a separate layer at the bottom of the screen, and doesn't pop up, so the keyboard hides it the whole time. 2 - Works normally with SF browser, but gives an error about outdated browser with any others, (even on one Android browser). 3 - When signing in for the first time, my TJC user and pwd were automatically filled in, but I was registered as a new user, and when I attempted to post my first post, I got my account temporarily disabled(?) |

Re: [Link] Official Sailfish OS forum
I figured out the hidden text box issue - there's a drag handle to move it up ...

And that helps for how many lines? Especially in landscape (my favored writing) mode? |

Also, rule#1: you do not talk about
|
Re: [Link] Official Sailfish OS forum
I might be a bit thick here, but how is this different from https://together.jolla.com/ ???
Just another discourse forum for Sailfish users, no? Actually I'm getting a notice "We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there." on TJC. I'm confused. Why not just redirect the domain name and continue using the existing forum? |

"What tablets and phones are supported? Mobile Safari, iOS 10.3+ Mobile Chrome, Android 4.4+ " What the f*ck! |
Re: [Link] Official Sailfish OS forum
