Phone Camera Competition April 2021: "Funny & Foolish"
 

So this month's competition theme is "Funny & Foolish". It may be something you spot accidentally or make purposely.

• Photos must be taken during this month and posted before voting starts.
• Photos must be taken by the posting member.
• Photos must be taken with your phone's camera.
• Post processing is allowed but you have to say what you did.
• Users must name the phone and software they used.
• Users post only one photo per entry.
• Users can change the entry only once.
• 3 day voting period starts on April 27th at 20:00 UTC and ends on the evening of April 30th.
• Winner of the vote should choose the next month competition theme.
• You are allowed to continue off topic on this thread after competition.

I am making a necessity to our home from wood. If I will make it in this month I think it may be my entry for the competition. Not anything hilarious or superbly funny but just a bit foolish.

Not sure it's funny, but this frog was sure foolish: sat in full sunlight just a few inches from a busy forest path, and didn't move a bit when I started taking pictures of him - in the end my phone was just a frog's length from his nose:

EDIT: This is not anymore my picture for the competition!


Our antique glass door shelf with lion legs got a bend frame from the middle. My wife asked me to make one leg more to the middle to straighten the frame.

Taken with Moto g8,Lineage Os 18.1, stock cam, slightly coloured to get authentic flavor, slightly cropped from the left, just a zip darkened and a zip clarified.

That's because I was too close already - not much depth of field - the legs are perfectly sharp, the nose isn't.

Not the best one that either.

The picture has many flaws, but it is much funnier than all the rest of the pictures I took of the leg. I first started to crop and edit this picture too but it just made it less funny/foolish. So this was the funniest and most foolish picture I was able to take of the leg.

Very nice.

That is a collection of miscellany rivaling my own! Not the same miscellany, but a similar variety. Since my own family moved into my childhood home when my mom downsized, I have acquired by default a trove of "treasures" that both of my parents inherited from their own parents, and those grandparents had held on to stuff from their own parents and grandparents. Only a small portion of the stuff is displayed very much like yours, along with more recent acquisitions and creations.

Coming soon(TM) something funny. Or foolish.

That leg gave me a flashback to a restaurant my Aunt took my sister and I to decades ago. The tables and chairs all had anthropomorphic legs and feet. Some bare, some in various shoes and socks. IIRC they were made of molded fiberglass, but it's been forever.

It does! I have some serious work cut out for me getting a usable OS for the thing put together, there isn't much that exists in the way of that. I want to make something based on freeRTOS that mainly uses keyboard interface, but it'll take long time.

N900! FCam. No editing.

(Xperia X (sailfish X) main camera not working -- possible detached cable. OnePlus One camera not working because I updated the UBPorts camera app but not the system OTA and new camera app not compatible. Xperia XA2 Ultra has hardware problem and crashes all the time. Pinephone doesn't have a distro with decent camera support (most still have none). Other devices not charged or in hiding. So N900 it is!))

There are several ways to skin that cat.

The easiest way is usually to check what others have done. In this case, robthebold's post contains the picture embedded, so just click "Quote & Reply" to his post and see how he had done it.

The crucial bit is the URL:
Using that URL to embed the picture, I get this:

Another way is to follow your own link to the Flickr page. It is not entirely obvious how to get the link to the picture, but in the bottom right corner is the "Share" button. That pops up a window with multiple ways of sharing. The useful one is the "Embed" option. This gives you the following, veeeeeery long and unwieldy script:

Sometimes I put in a few drops of water. That`s it. If you want to mix it with coke, you can buy some cheap stuff from the supermarket. From time to time I buy a bottle of good bourbon. And this I sometimes mix with soda water.But Malt Whisky never.

By the way, it isn`t a sheep but a camel. :D

Malt whiskey is the only stuff that should be named whiskey. It's like putting your tongue on a 9V battery and getting by that a smoked dark syrup grilled beef taste in your mouth which then takes you into the experience.

I was helping my Dad replacing a telephone jack back in "the day". This was an old twisted-wire POTS line, and I needed both hands free, so I held the wires in my mouth so they wouldn't fall back into the wall . . . when a call came in! In those days, an analog North American phone rang by putting 48VDC across the two terminals and then reversing the voltage (IIRC) 6 or 7 times a second, effectively creating a 96V peak to peak square wave. I spit that thing out faster than rancid milk. That taste! That sensation!

As to the Scotch Highland Whisky, I prefer a single malt neat, although I'm told I should try it with a bit of water. I do not care for Islay or Speyside. Those I'd have to spit out like the phone wires. Makes me think a bunch of woad-painted Pictish warriors built a peat fire in my mouth! No offense to woad-painted Picts, natch.

Speyside peaty? You leave me confused!:eek:
While I also like the peaty ones (well as long as the don't taste like Laphroig, but luckily there is nothing else like Laphroig), I can't remember having ever had a Speyside which was heavily peated. The typical Speyside Whisky is in my eyes not peated at all, even though there are some softly peated ones in the meantime.
