Well I do not change it so Hildon can be used, I remove it, so KDE doesn't take the key. I have the menus key bound to KDE menu popup. So when hildon apps are running, KDE seems to grab the input before it hits the hildon app. I am sure you could make a switch, but I am not going to.

Alternatively ... set the KDE menu to be a combination of 2 buttons (if the tablet can detect 2 buttons at the same time?) Or - even better - a double button press? [can keybindings be set for "double click?") :)

See above, but if you can work something out, let me know and I will implement it. I am really only looking at the default behavior. The main reason I did not worry about it, was because if you wanted to run hildon apps, logout of KDE.

2) How large is documentation? If it's ...say - 30+ MB then perhaps have it removed. Could split the tarball and leave it as an optional download ;)
/usr/local/kds/share/doc is 36MB
I do not like the idea of having to add the documentation, perhaps I will put out a second final version with nothing no docs?

3) I like the missing children idea because - well - it's something nice and we're nice, but don't run by default. Leave the settings down to the individual. Something I noticed as well - most/all of those on the register are from the US?

Well yes, I am looking only at USA children, I will look into seeing if I can provide other countries as well.

OK I just did and it looks very doable, very easy. If you going to the missingkids.com website and on the lower left side click the "Global" drop down box you can select other countries. If there is a contry that is listed there and you want to see that country instead of USA, please post your request here and I will see what I can do to make it happen.


4) Other than those provided:
Setup the panel so it doesn't animate. Use a nicer theme by default (something neutral/not dark) and setup all graphics to have as minimal slowdown as possible. Remove background images by default. Streamline the desktop for speed - I'm sure users will play around and set things up themselves anyway

I understand but that what I want to have come up, and is it easier for me or for you to change? With the addition of Kvkbd, the onscreen keyboard is in the menu. If you want to turn off all of my customizations, rm -rf /home/user/.kde This will get you the Kpersonalization during startup and you can turn everything off. This seems much easier to me, than having to turn everythign on. The final version will probably not have animation on panel, but transparency will be on I think, it looks cool.
