@penguinbait
How dare you :D! |
Re: Overclocking N800?
Mara, can you try the "echo userspace" line I posted above..?

Re: Overclocking N800?
This is getting exciting!!!

Re: Overclocking N800?
Well... the echo userspace to scaling_governor seemed to work... (It did not give error.)
The second part to echo new speed setting to scaling_setspeed did not work: It said "Permission denied"... :( EDIT: The first part may not have worked: After I run cpufreq-info I do not see the "userspace" as available governor... maybe I need to reboot the N800 for that change to take effect? |

Re: Overclocking N800?
Just rebooted the N800 and checked the scaling_governor file. It only contains text "ondemand". I tried again to echo userspace into it with the same result: No error is shown, but the "userspace" does not stick in there... :confused:

Re: Overclocking N800? MORE TOOLS/TOYS

Re: Overclocking N800?
I think the userspace kernel module (cpufreq_userspace.ko ?) has to be present, which I don't know if it is, and loaded for the "echo userspace" line to take effect and cpudyn to work.

Re: Overclocking N800?
Where? Can't find any mention by Mara of whether that kernel module is present/loaded. In other news, gconf-editor might also be able to change the governor (if the kernel module is loaded):
