did anyone buy n800 from Buy.com?
 

The worst thing about buying stuff is the wait. I ordered an n800 on Saturday from Buy.com, and have been checking my order status non-stop. It's really unhealthy. It's been sitting in "Sent to Warehouse" for the day. It could be that I'm spoiled because I have been ordering from newegg for years, but I'm about to fly to California and break into that damn warehouse. What's the holdup?

Ok, I realize that I'm being unreasonable. And no - I don't work for newegg. I swear, however, that 5 minutes after I click "complete order" at newegg, the package arrives at my office.

Anyway, how long will I suffer with my n800 sitting in the warehouse at buy.com? Should I pop some valium and get ready for a long wait, or should I expect there to be a package ready for me this week?

I ordered my N800 on Saturday the 27th of October, and I didn't get it until Friday, November 2nd. But I live on the east coast, if that makes any difference.

I'm on the east coast and it took a little less than a week for my order to arrive. I ordered it on Sunday and got it on Friday. I'm very happy with it, although I do miss the hard cover on the 770.

Odds are you will see that the order originated in Hodgkins, IL which is where a major UPS hub is. I ordered my LD-3W BT GPS module from Amazon and its origin was also Hodgkins, IL.

I ordered from Buy.com. Ordered on Thursday 10/11 (after 8pm), arrived to me in metro Detroit on Tuesday the 16th.

My UPS guy always comes LAAAAAATE in the day (around 6:30), so the wait was agonizing.

I ordered mine on Monday mid morning and had a tracking number on tuesday. Unfortunetly ground shipping meant i waited till lunch friday for it to arrive at my house. Man that was a long week.

I oredered mine on 10/13. They shipped on 10/15 and I had my n800 by 10/17. Not bad for Buy.com's free shipping.

I'm in Atlanta, GA and it shipped out of Dallas, TX if that makes any difference.

Placed my order on Monday, October 08, 2007 at about 11:50pm(was a holiday), it was shipped on 10-09-07, and delivered on 10-10-07 at 3:57pm...

I was totally shocked, the free shipping was basically next day(considering that Monday 10-08-07 was a holiday)... And I have already received the first issue of my free subscription to Computer Shopper...

I've ordered from buy.com a few times and always been satisfied with the shipping times, newegg.com is great too...

Ok. It shipped. I have a fedex tracking number and everything. The only problem is that the estimated delivery is November 12th. Crap. It ships on November 5th and it will come a week later.
Yes, I'm a baby. I'll stop whining when I'm signing for the package from the Fedex dude.

Whenever I ordered from buy.com the sent to warehouse seems to take forever, but once that goes through it ships fast. I ordered mine Nov 3 and am hoping to have it by friday to play with it for the weekend. *Cross fingers*

I ordered from Buy.com and (unfortunately) added the standard shipping. It still took seven days to get here. So, I'd recommend not spending your money on that. It was FedEx was here by 5:30 in the afternoon.

I couldn't get the tracker to work so I contacted Buy.com's online support. They were really good, quick and responsive. Got me squared away.

The great news is..it's here and I'm lovin' my N800! No all I have to do is to choose from about 700 cases recommended here. :D

I ordered saturday or sunday. I got it wednesday just like several others have mentioned. Only they used the free shipping and I paid for the 2 day shipping. I got cheated.

Oh.. and I got to discover something new: UPS accepted the N800 and Navkit and originally showed it as a wednesday delivery. Then a day later they decided to reschedule the Navkit for a thursday delivery. You can pay for 2 day shipping and have UPS just reschedule for a day later if they feel like it.

I had a used computer being delivered by UPS and when I checked the online delivery status it read "Not home to accept package." And I was there all day. So I called and got a lady to agree to let me meet the UPS guy at a shopping village nearby. It seems he didn't think the package was right for delivery and was going to send it back. I asked at what point was I going to be told and let him know I thought that was my decision to accept or deny and not his? It's not our father's UPS any more.

And maxinflixion you're right. It seems that every UPS parcel always comes at 5:30 or 6PM . When I'm not expecting something I see them at 10 and 11AM. :D

Oh! And, God save the Queen!
