Go into Control Center -> Appearance -> Colors -> Lots of simple Color Schemes or just like on a desktop - you can change individual colors as you wish. FWIW - I believe that theme is called simply "System".

As for Right Click - nope sorry no way to make that happen yet. However, you can perform all of the Right Click functions via alternative routes - or in a few placed you can force a Left click to behave like a Right click. For example: you can force a Left click (tap with stylus) on the desktop to behave like a Right click and bring up a menu. I did this for a while but found I accidently touched the desktop fairly often and the menu popping up was annoying to me. There's nothing in that menu that can't be initiated by some other means.

You guys really should take some time and just go through Control Center and read the Handbook for Control Center - the amount of customization is fabulous.

Also - any N810 owners should use Control Center -> Regional & Accessibility -> Accessibility -> Modifier Keys -> Check "Use Sticky Keys" and "Lock Sticky Keys". This will allow your Fn & Shift keys to work like they do in Maemo (ie: Tap Fn then tap the 2nd button instead of needing to tap both at the same time). While you're in Regional & Accessibility check out the Keyboard Shortcuts section too. There you can map any combination of keyboard shortcuts you like - for instance I've mapped Shift+F4 (which is actually the Menu key) to Close a window if pressed at the same time. You can also make application specific keyboard shortcuts - for example when I'm in KOrganizer, Ctrl +E will bring up the New Event dialog. You get the idea :D

The one thing I haven't yet figured out how to do without right clicking is adding/editing/deleting applets/quicklaunch from the panel. Any idea on that?

If you tap on the left side of section of the panel that holds the item you want to edit, you will see a little white criss-cross verticle line with a tiny arrow at the top. Tap on that arrow and menu will pop up that allows you to edit the panel. It can be tricky to tap the arrow, so be patient if it takes a few tries ;)

I'm quite amazed and delighted with this KDE program. I've been trying to get aquainted with it all day today. I don't seem to have the font problem with mine which I wish I could shed some light on why. The only thing I can think of is that my install went well- no glitches. And I did reboot so that's not why.
Anyway, I do have a very frustrating problem with it. I've been trying to configure Kmail. It goes fine until one of the dialogue boxes is too large so that I can't see the bottom of the screen to click the Ok button. I know. I've been reading this whole thread and I see the solutions to this. But those solutions don't seem to work with this particular box. So,to set up an email account, first you establish the identity including the name and email address. Then you click the account tab. A small easy to deal with box opens where you establish what kind of email account you want like pop or Imap. Then you are confronted with an apparently impossible dialogue box. I've looked at all the options that I could find anyway. I tried assigning this box to a second desk top so I could move it around in the four little desk top sliders at the tool bar. I've tried resizing the box. The problem seems to be that even though I seem to be opening the menu system at the top corner of this particular box, the settings then extend to the parent box rather than this box. The box takes up the whole page top to bottom. So is it just me and my stupidity or is this a problem for you guys too?

EDIT: Well ,I guess I do have a small font issue. Pretty much it's limited to the top edge of small g's. They kind of look like y's that way. But I think this is a tiny trade off for the KDE application installation since this glitch, at least for me, is easy to ignore.

I've just seen the same behavior in Kalendar if you try to move the kind of secondary window you're talking about using the Window Pager in the panel. However, I can move using a button that I assigned to Move- Window in the keyboard shortcuts secion of control center. You re-assign any button you want. I've assigned my menu button (N810) to Move so now I press it and then use the stylus to move any window I want. I've haven't met a window yet that this didn't work on including email. :)

I'm not a Linux user, so I wouldn't have any idea how to do this. But maybe the N800, which is what I was talking about above, could be mapped out so that the upper left hard button meant for scrolling side to side and up and down could be used similarly to what you are doing here. I need to be able to move this particular dialogue box or I won't be able to use my Gmail account in kmail. Anyone who tries to configure their email account in Kmail is going to run into this problem on an n800. There may also be other secondary windows that we will have this problem with as well.

Ok... It's quite simple - it's no different than remapping using Window or Mac-

Open up the KDE "Start Menu" -> Control Center (this is like Windows Control Panel) -> Regional & Accessibility -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> You'll see a window that has 3 columns = Action; Shortcut; Alternate Shortcut -> Scroll down the list until you see the one that says "Move Window" -> tap it so that it's highlighted -> tap the button next to Custom that is just below the window -> a small pop-up window will appear -> Here you just press the button you want to assign to the task - KDE will show the value of the button (ie: up, down F4, F5, Shift etc); you can also set it up so that you press 2 buttons at the same time - this allows you to keep the original function of the individual buttons when pressed by themselves.

The Alternate shortcut is handy if you use a BlueTooth keyboard - you can assign shortcuts for it as well.

While you're here in Control Center - you can change your color scheme, font size, wallpaper and so much more. :D

Apparantly this process of making the bottom of some dialogue windows visible is something that experienced users of KDE find easy but dispite PCQ's helpful post above I can not seem to get the settings set correctly to be able to see the bottoms sometimes. When I press the resize option in the window menu for example, the menu just closes rather than giving me options. I love all the obvious features in this program, but I'm finding it pretty useless because of this problem sorry to say. But I don't see much response to my last post so I guess I'm the only one having this problem . Again I've seen the suggestions earlier in this thread. I'm just saying that the methods don't seem to work with all the windows. The problem with this particular window is that it refuses to go above the top of the screen. I can drag it down or side to side, but no way will it go up above the screen top. Even if I was able to set up a short cut to move the wndow I bet it would just stop at the top anyway. So how are you guys dealing with this? Maybe by just resizing a pop up dialogue window smaller then moving it up? Like I said, I don't get this option.

I really appreciate that you are trying to help me. It sounds like you have a more managable situation with the n810. I did try making a link to use the hard up down button on my n800. I clicked the setting in control center and then touched the up button. It seemed to activate it since I got a dialogue message that asked me about a conflict with another setting. Then when I tried to use it it didn't do anything. But I didn't try holding that and simultaniously moving the window with the stylis. We'll see. I'm not going to delete this software. Like I said earlier, apparently you all are getting it to work. I will sooner or later.
