Your problem (the one you solved)) was related to the stylus keyboard not appearing, as far as I understood.

My problem, and other's, is that the thumb board is not appearing. And you were also filing this bug over there, weren't you ?

I noticed this problem too. The (stylus) keyboard will type characters all around the one I intended. Calibration doesn't help. I haven't noticed this on the thumb keyboard, but I don't use that as much as the stylus keyboard.

A related problem is that my stylus keyboard often doubles letters. The tap sensitivity seems all out of whack since my update. This causes the most problems when trying to enter a password, since I can't see doubled or mis-typed characters. The worst case was when I changed my root password and it must have done the same mis-type twice in a row, because I couldn't get back into root... Finally one time the keyboard misfired the same way again and I was able to get in and change the password to the proper one.

I just can't believe it still can't handle ID3 tags properly, the most rudimentary feature of any PMP -- No sorting on track number (#1045), text parsing problems on track name (#2302, #1103), etc. etc.. It's like they don't even want it to be a media device.

OK, my venting is done now. Back to more (sigh) important bugs

"The brightness adjustment is still very limited making it difficult to read in the dark at such a high intensity, even at the lowest setting."

it's problem for me, too.

I'm getting the same thing with the bluez-utils update. Is this a repository problem or software?

Thank you, so much. This bug has been irritating and now there is a work around (hey, I'm new over here.)

Yeah it's the repos. Remove the existing ones and go to gronmayer.com/it/ to get JUST the ones you need. There are links to show what is inside the repos to look for the particular app you need to install. The Map application, well, I just installed Meamo Mapper instead :0)

A new finding.... Anyone noticed that the window scrollbars down and right arrow buttons can get "stuck" if pressed with stylus and then slide the stulus to the white space below/right of the button?

I opened a new bug #2722 on it.

Yes, this happens to me quite often. The same or similar happens also with the dpad buttons. Many times they behave as if they got stuck.

It seems there are a big number of 'clicks' that are getting registered. It is audible too if you haven't disabled the sounds..

Thanks for opening this bug.

Re: 2.2007.50-2 firmware bugs and issues

Since we are talking about bugs, I haven't seen/found anyone mentioning the following:

1. when opening the bookmarks from the web icon in the desktop (that show the exaggerated/thump-friendly mode) and choose a folder inside a folder, that is a third panel has opened which overlaps the first, you cannot use its scroll-down/up screen buttons. If you press them all the panels close.

You can recreate this by adding this structure in your bookmarks:
Code:

bookmarks
    |_ folder1
            |_ folder2
                  |_  bookmark1
                      bookmark2
                      bookmark3
                      bookmark4
                      bookmark5
                      bookmark6

and attempting to choose 'bookmark6'. MissionImpossible.

2. In the RSS feed reader app the scroll up function using the dpad isn't working but only jumping from link to link if pressed consecutively. The scroll down works in both ways though.

3. The file manager shows the bluetooth shares also when the bluetooth is switched off from its menu. It only stops displaying them when the device is set to 'Offline mode'.

I would be interested to know whether those 'bugs' appear only on my device..

Thx.
