hi,
I`m playing around with wayfinder today for the first time. Earlier I used Maemo-Mapper and with that I can get a fix very fast, But with Wayfinder I wont get a fix. Now I want to flash the latest OS onto my device and get the latest Version of the Map-Software and Wayfinder. The problem ist now that I am in the trial-period, I`ve got 5 left - if I reflash the device can I get this 5 das again or do I have to backup some license-files before? If yeas, which files are that an in which folders can I find them?

Does Navicore 2007 license for symbian S60/S80 work with N810 wayfinder? Or do I need navicore designed for N800?

I don't know if the one for S60 works, I do know Navicore on NIT is a port of the S60 version, and the one for Nokia 770 and Nokia N800 work on N810. Lifetime license.

Just received information from Wayfinder that S60 licenses won't work with Nokia Internet Tablets.

Hmm ok

My license starts with

YY XXXX XXXX XXXX

YY = letters
XX = numbers

BTW, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=23972 deal for cheap navkit. Especially for European I guess (Belgium).

Bought this http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=151567 from expansys and it unlocked Wayfinder Europe in my N810 just fine. You can also then sell the Nokia Wireless GPS Module LD-3W to reduce the price of the license :p

Better keep it (even as backup). Its pretty small, and the on-board GPS doesn't work well.

After reading thru so many pages, am I correct that the only ways to have the wayfinder working without keeping changing mac-addresses all the time are:
1. Find a cheap lifetime Navicore license and use it with Wayfinder
2. Find someone with the lifetime Navicore license, get their license file and MAC address and run patched Wayfinder with the fake MAC?

Just wanted to make sure that Wayfinder nowdays really compares the tablet's time (or to be more accurate the time Wayfinder runs in) with the GPS time.
