I got mine from http://meritline.com/kingston-1gb-mu...bile-card.html
Mobile mmc cost more but is supposed to have faster transfer rates. The speed is won't make any difference on transfers doing on the 770 itself. I use a external USB reader to do large file transfers, which go faster that using the direct 770 cable. |
the bigger benifit of mmc mobile in teh 770 is the dual voltage aspect makes it use less power and so it won't suck down your battery.

Thanks again for all the info.

you can test it in xterm as root by command time dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/dev/null bs=4096 count=2500 This will read 10MB from the card and print time. But please remove and reinsert card before testing so the data is not already cached (or open the card door at least). My card reads 10MB in real time 7.07s so the speed is 1.3MB/s. Is this Kingston MMCMobile significantly faster? Thanks. |
7.07s here too, with the kingston 1GB MMCm. I think in the 770 its not faster, just lower power, so same speed with longer battery life.

idem for me with a 512 MB MMCm Kingston
