n800 gone from circuit city.
 

ok, so i have been looking at the n800 for a while, i went to finally purchase it yesterday, and it was gone. it dropped to 199 from the 23rd to the 24th, and was the same until the 25th, and i went to check it on the 26th and *poof* gone, it's not there anymore. It's a long shot, but does anybody know anything about this? i have a bunch of gift cards now, and i can't buy the n800 with them now. I wonder if they could special order it for me from somewhere else? anybody have any idea about any of these, i don't really expect anybody to, but i suppose it's worth a shot.

man that really sucks. you know why? i bought a n800 on the 25th with all the money i got for christmas. it came today and it is the best. I wonder if i got the last one. don't worry though, just go in to your local circuit city and see if they have one there. i probably sound like a major dick right now but you'll get another chance to get one. if not, i guess you are royally boned. :(

lol, nah, you don't sound like a dick, i can only imagine having that sweet little device in my hands. I think i'll probably go to the circuit city really soon and check if they have one, or if they can special order it or something, either that, or i'll spend the circuit city cards on something else, and buy it somewhere else, it's an amazing little device, hopefully i can get one pretty soon. then i can brag back ^^

I'm in the same boat. I wish it were available in stores, especially because of the $40 off $199 coupon (which would make it as good as Buy.com's recent $170 - $10 GCO).

I saw the same thing, managed to get one on the 25th too... Sucks that its now gone as it was the best price - Tigerdirect has it now for $219 I believe and buy.com is $229 if its any consolation...

yea, i think i'm going to buy my n800 from somewhere else, and then keep the gift cards, and hope for a price drop on the ps3... lol.

I purchased it from Circuit City as well, paid 179.99 after applying AAA 10% coupon. I also got a 2 year extended warranty for 59.99 Maybe, if your patient, the deal will come back after the newyear.

ahh, got it. yea, i have just enough in gift cards to purchase it at circuit city, but now they don't have it, which is really weird. why would somebody just take that out of stock. it's weird if you ask me. I was hoping maybe it was a glitch, but it wasn't, 4 days later, it's still not there. it was there the 25th, but gone the 26th.

Was going get the n800 from Circuit City but it was sold out the next day (as you've noticed). Buy.com has it for 229 and I found a 10 dollar off coupon (via Google) provided you buy it before the 31st of December. Now I'm waiting for the n800 as my SD cards shipped out but the n800 is still in the warehouse.

The deal from Circuit City was probably a limited time only.

You can usually order items from Circuit City online and have them delivered to your store. Did you try that?

They usually aren't delivered (rather just picked up in-store), but when it was online for $200, it wasn't available for in-store pick up.

well, i would order it to have it delivered, but it's not even on the site anymore, it doesn't say sold out, it doesn't even show up anymore, if you go and search, or just go through the directories of sorts, it's not there. and i have 200 bucks worth of circuit city gift cards that i was going to use to buy it, but now it's not there to buy, online or in store, i think i'm going to go to the store and ask if they have one in by chance, not much chance, but some i suppose. it's as if they don't even carry it anymore whatsoever, i emailed customer service, but they didn't respond. it's gone, like freakin' houdini...

I found that link around 5 am on the 26th and used it to get the n800 - the link was no longer valid at 11 am same day - tiger direct has it at 219.99 - the n800 arrived the 27th - looks like it's going to be an interesting piece of technology.

It happens a lot on Best Buy and Circuit City's website. Sometimes they sell out and become back ordered, other times they just flat-out disappear.

exact same thing happened here. i asked them in store to order & they can't, it doesn't look like they'll be getting it anytime soon (if @ all). I got it from buy.com for a grand total of $219

so now it's back, but only available in stores. but not any stores that are anywhere near me. hopefully they'll get it back online, or a store near me soon. i hope.
