Nice Windows Media on N800
 

To see how TV news should look on a N800, take a look at: http://www.fnn-news.com/. The site is in Japanese, but all you need to do is select any news stories under "Today's News" (those are short video clips), and click on "high" next to the WMP icon. Interestingly, only two combinations work: either Windows Media high or Real Media low. P.S. Why can't U.S. TV stations do this?! P.P.S. The Japanese site above is especially useful for language learners, as transcripts are provided side-by-side.

The US "news" organizations have very little to do with actual news and much more to do with agenda and income. Consider the vast majority of them as entertainment to get you there during prime time (mostly) to have something to brag to the advertisers about. IMO actual news went away the day they quit being News Organizations and started being profit centers.

Yes, they could indeed do FAR better. Perhaps embracing and actually using technology properly and actually reporting honestly rather than commenting. It has been a LONG time now since we had reporters who were qualified to comment on anything they report.

I think the OP was referring to the quality of the playback on the N800.

But thanks for airing your pet peeve, likely taking this thread far off-topic.
