The Left Handed Thread
I saw some people talking about this in another thread and thought the idea should have its own. As a fellow left hander, it'd be nice to see simple things like the ability to move scroll bars to the other side of the screen. What else do us left handed people want?

Re: The Left Handed Thread
As a lefty, I've gotten used to living in a right handers world. Like with most things, i may not be able to use it as fast, but it gets done ok.
so, i can't say that there is much i'd change in the OS. I'd like to see a model with more of a two hand button scheme though. |
Re: The Left Handed Thread
I would prefer scrollbars on *both* sides.
Reverse function keys on stylus keyboard (caps lock on right, return, bs on the left, etc.). Also possibility to move num-keys block to the left would be nice. |
Re: The Left Handed Thread
ahhh, just leave it as it is. we lefties are simply better than the righties and can adapt to what ever they throw at us.

Re: The Left Handed Thread
Scrollbars, feh. The future is improved panning of the screen... including kinetic scrolling a la iPhone.

Re: The Left Handed Thread
The ability to go in (thru shell scripts if required) and move all the menu items and scroll bars around, as one should be to do when creating a custom X desktop, including rotating the screen for reading stuff.

But I agree. For all the good microB has brought it still has a way to go. Opera was much better in general with panning/scrolling/zooming . If MicroB could be at least as good as Opera was scrolling/panning plus add kinetic abilities it would help tremendously. |
