Is N800 DLNA compatible?
I noticed that my N800 (OS2007) was able to "see" my Buffalo Linkstation (NAS) as a media server on my wireless network for a short period of time and I was even able to stream *.MP3 files via wi-fi. I thought, "it would be so cool to be able watch movies wirelessly off the network". However, the N800 only recognizes (or lists) .VOB and *.MPEG files (neither of which it can decode) and not the *.MP4 or *.AVI files (it should be able to decode) stored on the same drive.
For some unknown reason, I can no longer "see" the Linkstation as a media server. Is the N800 DLNA compatible and if so, why does it not list other media formats (besides *.MP3)? Thanks |

Works fine with my EyeConnect server over here. Have you tried Media Streamer?

Re: Is N800 DLNA compatible?
There is sometimes trouble with MIME types, and with some specific UPnP servers. Basically, OS2007 & OS2008 should work with most (media) servers just fine. You should be able to play all media types playable locally from the media server, too.
