A patch was uploaded here that removes pressure sensitivity from the menu icon of hildon-desktop (and a hint on removing it for the applets). I've applied the patch, haven't tested x11vnc but I can still press my menu button and move around my applets fine even though pressure sensitivity is disabled for those things.

I have managed to run synergy on the n900 (but I can't find the thread which I followed now), albeit with some bugs
