I have to admit I got a kick out of watching the "Radar Men..." series under the blankets. If only this kind of stuff had been around 35 years ago...

(I didn't have to watch it under the blankets; it just seemed the right thing to do)

Not in my experience.

Movies like Jurassic Park, Children of Men, Sunshine and others truly take advantage of the big theater screen, and lose a little when scaling down.

I think there is no doubt that it's easier to believe in a big movie than a small one.

I seriously doubt that you can see something subtle like the expression on someone's face on a N800 as well as you can on a giant screen. It's not just a special effects phenomenon.

And most adaptations of films to small screens cut out parts of the movie, so you aren't seeing the real movie anyway.
