Re: Anti-Nokia backlash grows in Germany
I just don't get it why did nokia announce this under German elections. Well of course every politician is screaming their head off to get easy votes. Maybe they figured that when big local company's are laying people off they could do that as well. Big mistake of course there is nothing wrong in German company's it all fault of big bad foreign company.

There's an article in the latest Business Week discussing Nokia's new plant in Romania (the one that's leading to the closing of the German plant): http://www.businessweek.com/magazine...8040079155.htm

Re: Anti-Nokia backlash grows in Germany
Hey there!
I'm from Germany and live about 10 to 20 kilometers (6 to 12 miles) from the Place (Bochum) where the factory is closed. I can say they make ab big fuzz about it in the news, but only some peapole are realy Anti-Nokia... In this reagion called the Ruhrgebiet life about 5 Mio people. 20.000 where protesting activly against the closing of the factory. Personaly I wasn't even awary that there was a Nokia Factory nearby until resent events. :D |
