Re: N800 USB OTG Adapters/Dongles
Benson, I'll take a look at the "spider cable" and let you know, it should be fairly straight forward to pop it open (it's just plastic tabs, but you never know, it could be glued). Interesting idea about re-jigging it, I'll do some poking around inside and see what I can come up with and let you know.
(Edit: Photos of the spider cable opened... top and bottom... there are just two screws under the label that keep it closed. No 5 wires for the mini B and no idea about adding an external power source, but at least it gives you some ideas as to what's inside there) I'll also look into the other bits and pieces that you had listed there; I'm setting up a partnership for distribution of Solio Solar/Lith-ion chargers, which in my opinion are awesome for use with the tablets (others have also reported) so that's what I'm leaning towards for an extra battery/power injector solution. The nice thing about the Solios is that they have interchangable tips (comes with the one for the tablets btw) so you can use it to power either the tablet itself as a secondary source or whatever I come up with as a power injector... Oh, and on the otg dongle front... those little buggers would end up being about $14; (and that's based on my volume pricing!), so if there's interest at that price point I'll go ahead and do 'em, but I'm looking for feedback on whether it's worth it or not. Thanks, -Rob |

Re: N800 USB OTG Adapters/Dongles
As Benson says the audio adapters are made specifically so that you can connect external mic and speakers/headphone to the N8x0 tablets.
I've also got the Mini/Micro adapter available on the site with the N800 OTGs incase you want to consolidate shipping costs/etc (and there are a growing number of other neat N8X0 accessories of course): http://www.electronicproductonline.c...oducts_id=2004 I'm also just waiting on confirmation so that I can reduce the shipping costs for US orders down to $5 instead of the current $9. Oh, and those USB 360 degree adapters will be available around the middle of next week. Thanks, -Rob |

Bloody hell can't you whack the damn things in an envelope? Even if I forgo the dongle, the price is the same. I want to buy, I really do. But I do not need the item hand carried first class to Australia. Zebee |

Wow. That's impressive. You could almost afford a plane ticket to come pick them up. :D
Get the "Aussie tablet group" together for a group buy, maybe? |
Re: N800 USB OTG Adapters/Dongles
Zebee,
Sounds like you grabbed the wrong Linksys: there are two listed, one is OEM (no big box), the other is full retail. If you choose the OEM and the N810 adapter the site will let you go standard mail shipping, which works out to $11 international (I believe, it's somewhere around there anyways). Here's the link for the OEM one just to be safe: http://www.electronicproductonline.c...oducts_id=1800 Also if you're buying the N810 adapter and don't have the N800 OTG connector don't forget that you need it as well (it plugs into the N810 cable to give you the proper setup). I was going to just bundle the two together automatically but a lot of people already have the N800 one and are upgrading to the N810 so in the end I left them as two separate products. If you're still having trouble getting the right shipping price send me a PM and we'll get things sorted out for you! Thanks! -Rob |
