N800 Usb Otg
 

I have read in another post that the N800 can be set for USB OTG!!!! All the posts state that they modded existing cables to achieve this. I am not very good at that, so i found a site that may have the gender changing that MAY do the same thing.

Can anyone tell me if this is what i will need?

Yes, I can tell you that part is not what you need if you want your N800 to switch modes automatically. It is not wired correctly to make the N800 autoswitch.

No. So far as I know, no one has found a commercially available adapter that does the job out of the box. That's why jolouis, a member of these fora, is planning to sell modified adapters.

I had same problem in that I did not to cut anything and I found a very
simple solution that akes about 20 minutes of software downloads and
going to computer store a getting an adapter that can join mini usb to regular
usb. Hardware including usb powered hub cost me $20.
Here is where I put guide and a photo of my setup. If you have any questions
just leave me a comment on the thread below. I have a dvd, printer,
sdhc cards, etc... attached. Good luck.
