I was attempting to do some "warwalking" yesterday with the built in app while on my way to catch a bus, I was looking to download E. Goldstien's radio show "Off The Wall" before I had to use my painfully slow edge cellie connection and it was impossible, the addition of "wifi info" helped a bit, but it seemed that these apps would be some of the first ported/developed for an handheld that basically REQUIRES wifi access to be any fun, "in the wild" which is where it was meant to be used, when Im at home in the area of my wifi AP, Ive got a handful of PCs and my Wii that all have browsers that are much easier to use, right? so lets get some good tools to look for wifi hotspots while in the wild, since "warCHALKING" never caught on we need some way to find APs...

with all that complaining in mind, realize Im not a developer and I have no ability to do it on my own...so all I can do is whine :)

Kismet works if you search and read up on the forums. The only problem it runs into is that Nokia's connection manager tends to interfere with it...which is probably one of the reasons why there aren't more wifi finding apps: wlancond interferes with anything else trying to use mess with the wireless chipset.

Two things:
1) A lot of people fall into that category I guess. That's why these apps aren't out there for the tablet.
2) Developers weren't born with the ability to program. They had to learn it...Maybe it's time you gave it a shot? :D

I was looking for it in the app installer, but couldnt get it to show in my list late last night, im gonna give it another whack today, maybe I'll try to apt-get it.

Its on my list of stuff todo but its a long list, and as much as I hate to admit it its a bit out of my league for the moment, but Im heading in that direction...

but thanks for the explination as to why there not alot of these apps out there yet, I have found that if a problem is bugging me im not the only one.
