Abiword, just ???? instead of text in Word docs
 

Hi all,

I need to know if there is some magic hands-on you have to do to make AbiWord read normal MS Word docs? I have saved them from Word 2000 but just ???? comes up where the text is supposed to be. When trying to save in RTF format, nothing comes up in AbiWord. I use Swedish MS Word and AbiWord v 2.4.1.

Same problem here ~ very frustrating.

The maemo version of abiword just cannot import Word documents. Try installing abiword on your pc and save the document in abiword (abw) format instead.
