Re: Steve Jobs on Mobile Flash
I'm happy having the full version of flash and the option to turn it off. Might bog down my N810, but at least it's usable and works.

Re: Steve Jobs on Mobile Flash
At least our NiTs use Flash. I pity the iPhone owners who think they run Flash when they are really running Flash Lite (which lacks a number of features that Flash offers)
I wonder if this implies that the NiT uses more advanced/powerful hardware... |
Re: Steve Jobs on Mobile Flash
I use flashblock and just hit the play button. And I'm really glad it is full flash - I do some screencasts and other non-youtube video and it all works.
(As a comparison, VideoLan on my not too slow Ubuntu laptop will pixelate some flash media at times saying it isn't fast enough, but the engine isn't optimized, while the flash is just as good on my tablet or laptop -a 640x480 animation). But I thought the iPhone ran at 600Mhz while the Nokia is at 400, so why would an iPhone use the Lite version? |
Re: Steve Jobs on Mobile Flash
i dont think it use any version right now...
btw, while i have flashblock installed, i dont like that it download flash stuff in the background, even if the playback itself have been halted... |
