Re: Lost N810 Stylus
Yes if you are lucky enough to stumble on this infornation. My impression is that Jack's Place is the same place Maxwell Smart used to go to to enter U.N.C.L.E. headquarters, but it also seems to have a couple of styluses on hand.

Re: Lost N810 Stylus
yes, I know, but unfortunately, $10 a piece for a piece of cheap plastic, and having to buy them only over the phone from a fly-by-night shoe store that doesn't even have a website is NOT an acceptable solution

Re: Lost N810 Stylus
$10 a piece dang I was going to sell them for $1 a piece lol maybe I should up my price. lol

Re: Lost N810 Stylus

Re: Lost N810 Stylus
Update. Nokia contacted me today, the same useless ECR rep. He tried to tell me they "tested" the stylus and found it working. They would need me to return the WRONG one they sent me, and they would send another, but he can not guarantee that this one would be any better. Can you believe these *****s??????? I will NOT buy another Nokia Device. Phone, tablet, nothing. What a bunch of clowns. It's rare that one comes across this combination os incompetence AND poor customer service.
I recommend everyone just file complaints and directly contact their US corp. headquarters in Florida. I think they only way they are going to listen is if customers make enough noise as high up as possible |
Re: Lost N810 Stylus
andrewfblack, if you are selling styli, i would like to buy some too :D

Re: Lost N810 Stylus
Just bought replacement stylus from Jacks Place as mentioned in the first post. We'll see if they turn out to be the correct ones. I'm confident they will be though :)

Re: Lost N810 Stylus
A guy posted a how-to with pictures for making your own replacement (N800) stylus with a glue-gun and some epoxy over here. :D
You could probably add some nasty flavour to it if you have a bad habit of chewing on your stylus ;) EDIT: Never mind on the Bitrex, you have to buy it in, at least, a 22.5 litre container! |
Re: Lost N810 Stylus
Has anyone here actually not got a stylus at all for their N800.
I don't mean who has lost one of the two provided or who would like to have a few spare just in case. Who is totally stylus less? |
Re: Lost N810 Stylus
If they don't, they could probably be ordered from the store "Jacks Place" in NYC just as they can for the n810.

If I can figure out how to post a picture on here I'll post one I made of two stylii I made from parts at a local craft shop. Cost: I maybe spent $5 or so for enough to make 7 or 8 stylii. Yes they're not triangular, they're cylindrical. Some are wood and sharpened with a pencil sharpener. They work just fine. Some are made from knitting needles that I cut in two. They work just fine too. No need to make more out of this than it is. IT'S A FREAKING STICK!!! (Okay now here's the pic). If I lose a 50 cent stylus, no biggie...

Re: Lost N810 Stylus
I too am sylus-less. The Jack's Place info isn't a lot of good for a non-US resident as they don't seem to do online orders.
I've contact Leib GmbH to see if I can order from them by phone or email, has anyone found a source for N810 stylus that isn't those two? Zebee |
Re: Lost N810 Stylus
Check my post under n800. From hong kong $3.33 ea. plus shipping to US. If the stylus is the same this may help you.

Re: Lost N810 Stylus
Alas the N810 stylus is a small cheap looking thing compared to the N800. The n800 one definitely won't fit the n810 slot.
I suspect people going to Boxwise and saying they'd buy a Styra pen/stylus combo if they made one will be my only hope! Zebee |
Re: Lost N810 Stylus
Does the n900's stylus fit the n810 slot?

Re: Lost N810 Stylus

On the other hand: The N810 stylus will slide into the N900. But it's not a true fit. It doesn't go far enough in for the friction clip to keep it from dropping out. And the head sticks out from the body of the N900 because the head is a little bigger than the head on the N810 stylus. |
