Asciimation on the 770
 

I have been rejigging my Asciimation web site and now it runs without needing Java. It uses php to compress the page so browsers supporting compressed pages can display it. Lucliky the 770 browser does! This is just a test for now hence the horrible URL and bad layout but I wanted you guys to see it since it looks great on the 770. I suspect though that unless you have swap space set up you might get low memory problems.

You can save the page for viewing offline but it is always slow to reload.

Hmm, just changed hosts and I think the DNS settings are still figuring themselves out. Sometimes the link works and sometimes not. It should be working properly soon (I hope).

Right, should all be properly working now on the correct URL (http://www.asciimation.co.nz) with nice controls and so on. You can save it to play offline but I believe it will only work if you run swap space on the MMC card. The whole movie lives inside one huge variable on the page so it uses a bit of memory!
