[Palm OS] Legacy Palm OS
A while ago I had a palm Zire 71 (Now broken after a incident with a pan full of hot jello :( ) and one of my favorite apps was Legacy for palm OS (http://www.redshift.hu/legacypalm.htm). Once I learned that there was a palm os emulator for the ITs I immediately tried out Legacy on it, but it didn't work. Does anyone know how I could get it to run? Thanks

Re: Legacy Palm OS
If it won't run, it won't run.
E-mail the developers and ask them to port it? |
Re: Legacy Palm OS
How far did you get with the game? I set the dynamic heap to 4 mb and the model to Tungsten T|X with display compatibility ticked and the game ran fine. This is from the configure option after highlighting the legacy icon. Looks quite good

Re: Legacy Palm OS
that's great new imtab :D I don't suppose you've tried The Quest? I know it's quite a bit larger than Legacy but can't you set GVM higher than 4MB?
Anyways, thanks again for the Legacy info - I used to play and own all the Legacy/Quest maps on my TX. Glad I can play on my NIT now too. |
Re: Legacy Palm OS
The 'Settings' menu in the gvm-launcher can't go higher than 4MB, but the gvm application itself seems to be capable of up to 8MB. Try /usr/bin/gvm/gvm --help and check out --dynheap

Re Quest. I've tried the trial didn't install the sound/music files heap settings as above. Seems to work.

Re: Legacy Palm OS
However when I went back in it crashed and took gvm with it. This was installed on flash memory might be better with cloned os.

Re: Legacy Palm OS
Second try. Quest installed in a new install of gvm with 32mb memory with nothing else heap set to 4mb Tungsten T|X display compatibility ticked. Seems to be working i've gone in and out of the program saved a file and reloaded it. I think the earlier crash might have been using the 64mb on the stock N800 using all the memory. Got to go kill a werebat now.
