My n800 with OS2008 has this problem :(

It makes it hard to hit links and leads to typos with the onscreen keyboard. Intentionally miscalibrating the screen has helped, but it's still not quite correct.

So the upshot is that if you add the hypothetical problems to the problems with different hardware and the problems that might exist when a device that has been ordered gets here, it could be really serious!
