I built Irssi from latest SVN and I got B-itchX to run in OS2008.
Sorry *****x's, no plugin support in *****X (be thankful I figured out how to make it compile :P)

P.S, like all builds of irssi, this one likes to segfault sometimes. Remember X-Chat is available for tablets too (google xchat chinook), pidgin and rtcomm beta support irc however badly. Enjoy.
