how do you pronounce 770, n800, 810

musing, as one does, waiting for a download, an odd thought came to me.

just to lighten up for a second, how should we pronounce the devices?

* 770
seven hundred seventy
seven seven oh
seven seven zero
tee-tee-oh (in "l33t" speak)

* N800
en eight hundred
en eight oh oh
en eight zero zero
N'BOO

* n810
en eight hundred ten
en eight one oh
en eight one zero
en eight ten
N'BIO (in "leet")

feel free to ignore the ramblings of someone who's been staring at perl regex for most of the day!

"my thingy"

No, really. In fact someone at the workplace got an 800 after seeing mine. I've gotten strange looks whenn asking if he has his thingy with him and beckoning in the direction of his pannts pocket.

Lol, I take my n800 frequently to school and on the car ride there i often play music from the amazing n800 speakers. So now most have my friends have gotten used to saying "Do you have your... thingy?" Some of them have actually resorted to saying computer. :)

I tried to come up with aa clever, prefabally GRRM related name - eg I've an old ipod named podrick - but came up short. Hmmm, tyrion might work ;p

My girlfriend said i was talking about / playing with my 'thingie' too much, so I've taken to just calling it a 'tablet'.

QFT (6789)*

Brackets and 6789 added to make 10 characters, which I actually don't need to do because I have added this footnote. But then if I hadn't added them I wouldn't have needed the footnote, so then I would have had to....uh oh, infinite loop...

everyone calls mine either "the computer" or "your PDA".
had "your pocket PC" also a few times, although I explained that it was not the last 2 many times!

My son calls it my "toy computer." He's almost 4.

My N810 is Nathan. "N8" is Nate, "10" is ten. Nate-ten sounds a lot like Nathan :)

My 2 year old has commandeered my wife's and calls it something like "Noknok". My wife and I call it just "my/your Nokia".

Eh mine still gets called "your phone" even after countless times of explaining what it is.
