Just went through the process again, worked perfectly this time.
Now to install Command and Conquer... Thanks pb. |
Re: Clone OS to SD Deb!! Boot from SD made EASY!!
I have a problem now, I connected via USB to my PC and got an error on the tablet "Unable to connect via USB. Memory card in use: Internal memory card". In my PC I can access the external SD, but not the FAT partition on my internal SD. What should I do?
ps: I had no applications open. |

When I did it pre Diablo it worked and was easy. Now, after a new install of Diablo and the SSU, plus some of the apps, the install does not give me a boot menu. It does repartition my internal and leave me with a 120mb partition. Building the boot menu looks about as easy as rebuilding with the other pb tool and selecting my partitions etc. or reflashing entirely. |

chroot /mnt/initfs cal-tool --set-root-device ask:mmc2 mmc2 is partition 2 on internal mmc3 is partition 3 on internal mmc12 is partition 2 on external mmc13 is partition 3 on external You can also set the default to flash chroot /mnt/initfs cal-tool --set-root-device ask:flash My install-tools does not do this part of the cloning process. Sometimes it works and sometime you need to run the cal-tool |
Re: Clone OS to SD Deb!! Boot from SD made EASY!!
After 5 attempts and no boot menu I gave up an went to reflash Diablo.
It would not reflash and gave me a USB cable error. When I unplugged the USB cable the boot menu showed up and I've been able to reboot and get the boot menu. I hope I've not lost the flash capability but I've wasted 4 hours on it so far. Not easy anymore. Now I need to order the 8Gb external card. |

Is there some command to unmount the FAT? how to use it? thanks |
Re: Clone OS to SD Deb!! Boot from SD made EASY!!
should I try unmounting the FAT partition manually? I think that is "umount /media/mmc2" (maybe as root?). But if that works, how do I mount it again after I finish? (without rebooting, that's what I'm trying to avoid).
Is no one else having this problem? edit: Is "mount vfat /dev/mmcblk0p1 /media/mmc2" the command to mount it again? |
Re: Clone OS to SD Deb!! Boot from SD made EASY!!
nope, that didn't work...
Nobody has any suggestions? This is the only thing that makes me turn off the N800 :( |
Re: Clone OS to SD Deb!! Boot from SD made EASY!!
mount -t vfat /dev/mmcblk0p1 /media/mmc2
