thanks kepler!! Working flawlessly, much appreciated. This will come in handy during summer when going fishing in Lapland :)

PS: I assume this is the same as '0.6' release? or are you the author of it? :)

This is great! Maps are published by Nokia, so it looks like Nokia is really recognizing Maemo Mapper.

This is greatt, but it won't install on 770 with OS2007HE. Application Manager complains that the internal memory card is not installed. On OS2008 NLS.db was saved in the internal memory card initially but could it be changed to /media/mmc1 for OS2007?

OS2007 install file is changed. It prefers now firstly mmc2, but if it is not found it tries secondly mmc1.

Yesterday the Maanmittauslaitos released high resolution satellite for Karttahaku. Hope to see that in Maemo Mapper too some day.

The service is very slow at the moment

My N900 gives me an error when installing topomaps. Even if I have a 2GB memory card installed it says:

Internal memory card is not installed
Install memory card and install this package again

I can only answer "I agree" to this :(

Do you know what could cause this?

EDIT: OK, I guess it isn't meant to be used on Maemo 5 yet :)

Any update on Finnish topomaps? Has someone managed to take them into use with Maemo5 Mapper?

Finnish topomaps work also with Maemo 5 Mapper alpha8. You just need use: "Manage Tiles/Layers..." menu to set NLS url and remember also change tile type (scroll down the tile list little bit) to "XYZ_INV" and image type to "JPEG".

After this make new map repository which uses this newly made NLS repository. Min zoom should be set to 5 an max can be 20.

Is the right URL just http://tableteer.nokia.com:80 or does there have to be this /_tTilesD/%0d/%d/%d.jpg at the end?

My 3.0+alpha8 crasches when as set up the NLS repo according to the instructions.

Everything in that box must be copied so that all spaces and special characters are included.
