Belkin car charger
 

My charger - previously used with my Sony Clie - puts out 5.5Vdc 700mA and has a USB socket. Can this be used (with the appropriate cable) to charge my N800.

If you want a quick cheap solution: I routinely charge my 810 with a car charger: Radio Shack 273-1335 with output of 6 volts 500 mA. It's rated to work for 12 to 24 volts input. $19.99

I use this cable and a cheap USB charger which plugs into a cigarette lighter. Works very well. The cable has exploded in price - when I bought it a few months ago it was <$2 shipped to the US.
