Animated ads on iMDB
 

whenever I try visiting iMDB on my n810, those stupid animated ads pop up and block the search bar on the home page. Every time I try to close them, there's either no response or it opens up the ad's website.

Anyone know a way to disable these?

Or is there a more tablet friendly movie database site? Wikipedia is good, but doesn't give crew information normally.

You might try the Adblock Plus port for MicroB and the Flashblock port for MicroB.

When I went to the imdb home page I could close
the advertisement window by pressing Home key
(N800) and closing the uppermost browser window.

Try turning off Flash (magnifying lens menu in the lower right > components). I usually leave it off, unless it's needed.

I use the IMDB site version adapted for mobile phones. Works great on my N810.

I think this one is more for local theater listings and times (kinda like Fandango). IMDB gives general movie information and reviews.

Not quite as categorized as imdb but apart from local movie theater listings I find the movie info and reviews useable,e.g.:
