Re: N800 video call to Windows PC - Google Talk
Gizmo accounts are just SIP accounts too. I have Gizmo connected to my Internet Call via my Gizmo 10-digit number (1747...) Has anyone tried X-lite on a PC connecting with their Gizmo account on the N800 via the built-in Internet Call?

What I have done is add both VoipBuster and Gizmo accounts to the built-in Internet Call application. I do both because outgoing calls to landlines are allowed by VoipBuster, and inbound calls are allowed by Gizmo -- both for free. To clarify, my GrandCentral number gets forwarded to Gizmo so I get my own inbound number that way. But back to your question, I use 2 VoipBuster accounts for video calls between the PC and N800. Same network = better connection? |

Re: N800 video call to Windows PC - Google Talk
Hello,
This is my first post in maemo.org - Talk. I have had a 2nd hand N800 in use for a week. When trying to set up in the native Internet Call application a sip2sip account, I am receiving network registration error. I have tried with several options without success so far and have not yet found precise documentation in that regard. My Internet Call account settings are: -- Approx. English-GB translated terms -- Account configuration - Username Username: XXXXXXX@sip2sip.info Password: XXXXXXX Use for PSTN calls: No Advanced settings: Conection tab: - Transport: Automatic - Outbound proxy: Empty (have used the sip2sip one too: proxy.sipthor.net) - Port: 5060 - Detect public address: Yes - Mechanism...: Automatic - Frequence...: 0 Authentication tab: - Username for authentication: XXXXXXX@sip2sip.info (have tried without the Domain/Realm part too) - Password: XXXXXXX STUN tab: - Automatic STUN detection: Yes - STUN server: Empty - STUN port: 3478 -- Any tips/help in how to enable a sip2sip account for Internet video calls would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
