no, you weren't actually discussing anything with iphones. I have read enough of your comments to understand when an actual exchange of ideas is happening

Instead of an m60 or hand grenades, can I just get a BFG from quake 2.... That had some awesome programming, if you followed what the gun could actually do.

I think I'll one-up the fight, and bring a nuke with me. Enjoy your grenades when I drop a nuke from a plane ;)

A) The assumption that one didn't look at any other page on the thread. B) The assumption that any person, especially new persons, may have known that the originator of the subject had long left the building. C) The assumption that when a thread goes to be 50 million comments that one ought to be crassly told to go through potentially all of them to find a single hyperlink. That last one is what made it "Prickable" in my book. It's not like I coulda done a VLC search and found it easily. Lastly, I'm not new, I don't post stuff like that off the cuff, and when I'm caught not finding stuff I have admitted to being lazy with the search. So to be honest I didn't appreciate the unnecessary "Pricknes" when a simple "no comment" or "it's on page such and such" would have been far more productive for all involved. lastly, the offending poster, knew he was being a prick and said so. purposely being a prick gives other people the right to call you one too. |
Re: Don't be a Prick!
sondjata im sensing alot of hostility....man just chill....people take stuff way too serious...

Re: Don't be a Prick!
Actually Joe, I was in a particularly good mood until that "I'm going to be a prick" comment got posted. I've been here over a year and though I've seen my share of hostilities (iPhones, OS updates, MaemoMapper slams, etc) I've usually not responded to most. Heck, I used to be put off by General Antillies, but I've gotten used to him. :-)
but for some reason, the idea of someone being an *****, and then declaring herwas going to be so crossed a line with me. Accidental disrespect I tolerate. Purposeful disrespect I don't. |

A) In your new thread, not linking to the relevant post... (It took someone else to even point to the thread.) B) When you did chime in to retort, again no link. It seems the problem is that once the original starter of a thread fades, no one else can edit the first post. Here's an idea! The next time this happens why not start a new thread with an appropriate title, post links to the updated information, (like qole did) and then explain your reasons for doing so, including your "prick" diatribe. :) But then again... we wouldn't get to see GeneralAntilles name next to your "Don't be a Prick" title every now and then when we hit the "New Posts" link. :D |

Re: Don't be a Prick!
i was actually referring to a frilly pink one..;)..bah never mind....:p
|
Re: Don't be a Prick!
Well, his shirt is a nice pink... ok that's magenta. or is it fuchsia?
|
Re: Don't be a Prick!
id say fuschia....
|
Re: Don't be a Prick!
I started to post that I agreed w/ JP and I'd call it fucshia...
However, I decided I'd better double check and low and behold magenta and fuschia are the same thing. RGB= 255,0,255 Well at least according to Wikipedia :P |
Re: Don't be a Prick!
hahaha! ah yes, Wikipedia: the stalwart, definitive, online reference volume.
;) |
Re: Don't be a Prick!
I'd call it purple, but that's just because it's the least obscure semi-reasonably-matching color that hasn't been named.

But fuschia tutu sounds the best. |

From xorg cvs, purple is 160, 32, 240... Like this Maroon is really much closer at 176, 48, 96... Like this Hence, semi-reasonably-matching. But, referring to wikipedia, purple can mean anything in the off-spectrum region at the bottom of the color envelope, and it's definitely the least obscure. (Besides, there's no Maroon Frog yet.) If you're into heraldry, though, you might consider murrey. (Isn't wikipedia fun?) Quote:

I wasn't going to post in this thread as it's got nothing to do with me, but for crying out loud could you please please do your research before posting this kind of crap? It's Desmond, not Fuschia. Fuschia is his middle name. |

Btw, a M60 is really too bulky to carry and shoot regardless what Rambo and Arnold has shown us. The ammo belt alone weighs 20lbs. That's why it has a carry handle at the balance point. The m14 is a cute little plinker (many hate it because it has little take down power). I find it really only good for shooting squirrels. btw, the current german standard is the G3KA4A1, no one uses or even sells the old fashion G3. |
Re: Don't be a Prick!
Guess I took it to mean an M2; re-reading, your interpretation is certainly reasonable. And, no, aside from the detail that I was completely joking, I wasn't planning on shooting from the hip... Not to discount the power of adrenaline, but lotsa stuff works better in the movies than in real life. (I had completely abandoned reality when I mentioned the XM214.)
Really, it's obvious that the way to go is with a Mk19, though. |

Cool toy, though, if you can afford it. (And afford to feed it. That ammo gets expensive...)
