Goosh, a Web-based command-line interface for Google

Goosh, a Web-based command-line interface for Google, works rather well on our Internet Tablets.....

That's way too cool! :) :)

But do you want to use the actual command line for web searching? Use SURFRAW (of course you'd need links as well to use it ;)).

Command line junkies of the world, UNITE!!

This is cool. But what is the optimum usage scenario? Does it work with lynx?
I mean, if you still need a full blown browser, it seems that we're missing out on the high points of command line tools (scriptable, pipe-able, can ben run over terminal\ssh, etc).

The point? To me the only point of goosh is "cause we can" or "cause it's fun!". :) It's not really usable as an actual command-line tool, as far as I can tell.

It's perfectly usable, provided you have a decent way to input text -- Which kinda throws all of Nokia's tablets out of the window...

To clarify, I didn't mean to say it doesn't work. Yes it does & I like it very much. When I said not usable I meant not usable from the command line or as a command line tool, as ysss points out you can't script with it, pipe to & from it, etc.

Sorry for the confusion.

No. It uses JavaScript.

I get time-outs on my N810. But I can use joystick up to recall the previous command, and that usually works.
I like the way it returns minimalist output, e.g. in maps.

translation is neat, too.
