Do i need a different subscription that "MLB At Bat with gameday audio" ?

I hate the MLB site. Ive seen stuff about MLB mobile premium etc. etc. that is $2.95/mo ... but i cant figure out how to even sign up for it.

Whoever has this working, can you tell me what exact subscription you have?

I have the same thing, 2010 MLB At Bat with Gameday Audio. It works for me. The 2.95/mo account was needed last year.

Make sure you don't have any of the old version laying around. In an xterm window, cd /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages, then do a listing with 'ls'. If you see MLBViewer, then you have old code still installed. The new code shouldn't be looking for it there, but I'm running out of ideas.

i do see mlbviewer in there, along with simplejson.

I still get the same errors :( fortunately the n900 has flash and i am able to listen via the player at mlb.com/mediacenter. Its not ideal for sure, but at least i can listen.

OK, it sounds like you're still getting a login error. In my experience, if you are logged in on a browser it gives you a message about being logged in twice, so I don't think that could be at the root of your issues.

You don't have to actually answer the next couple of questions here, if it worries you about security/privacy, but they may help figure out a few things that could complicate issues.

Does your password have any strange/non-standard characters in it?
Likewise with your email address?
Can you copy the config file to a computer, or open it in a text editor on you tablet (I use pygtkeditor to check config files on my tablet) to make sure there isn't any trailing white space in either the password or email field (assuming it doesn't belong in your password)?
Have you tried changing the password on your account and updating your login configuration on the tablet?
You mentioned that it is failing on your n810 as well, did you have any of the previous versions running and working on your n810 before?

I can login to mlb.tv and listen to game day audio (on PC)
but when I try to login with N810 w/ mlbviewer I get

Error fetching URL : Login was unsuccessful

Is this a new install, have you had the viewer working on your tablet before? If new, which version did you install the first time?

Did any of my previous questions look applicable to your situation?

Well, I now seem to be able to reproduce the issue, or should I say "now have the same problem that you have." Now that I can see the errors as they happen, I'll look into what can be done to make this work. I didn't set up the original mlbviewer authentication, nor the current mobile stream authentication, but I'll see what I can do to get this working again. Tonight is a bad night, but I'll work on it Friday and on the weekend for sure.

I'm finally hit by this too. The page returned during our login says they are having temporary problems and to try again later, but it hasn't worked all day. Maybe they finally turned us off. Hopefully I'll have time to look at this too, but I'm awfully busy lately.

I am currently listening to the Dodgers game (Sat 4/24). Maybe the problem was on the MLB side?
