I have the gameday audio subscription (or whatever MLB is calling it this year). My subscription works fine (can log in and listen to games) on a laptop/desktop using the MLB website. I'd really like to listen to games on my n800, but mlbviewer is not working for me.

I've tried most of the versions, up through the 2010 0.2 beta, and none of them work. The program runs, displays the current listings, lets me choose a game and a radio station to listen to, but seems to fail authentication to the MLB website: I get the "Error fetching URL : Login was unsuccessful" message. I've verified that mlbviewer is reading my username and password correctly, but the login is still failing.

I'm really motivated to get this working, so if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I know some python, and have looked at the source code, but just enough to verify that the program is reading my username and password correctly from the config file.

Download the debug version from post #274 and run
python /usr/lib/mlbviewer_gui/mlbviewer_gui.py from an xterm window. The debug version will output the resulting HTML page from MLB. Inside the HTML should be an error message.

I just tried the Cubs game and it works ok for me.

That's an error from mlb.com, so I don't know what it really means. Other than one day a few days ago, I have not been having problems (listening to the Braves broadcast right now).

I wonder if the people not having trouble had the MLB Windows Mobile package last year and the people having trouble did not.

I've had the regular gameday audio for a couple of year, but I never had the mobile package, and I can't use mlbviewer.

still no solution to fetching url error - I can lo0gin via fennec but audio sounds like its being played at 78 rpm as in fast.

I have released a new beta. Python threading seems to consume a lot of resources, so I removed the auto update thread. I added a new button to do the refresh on the game page.

I still wish I had more time to do more.

Every once in a while I get an error starting a game, but if I was a minute and try again it works. The error doesn't happen very often for me.

I have improved the speed of the individual game page refresh. The refresh loads smaller pages, so it is faster. But because of this, the clicking to the game is a little slower. I don't think it's too bad.

I added video highlights. MLB.com makes these available while the game is in progress, hit refresh occasionally.

The following day, the condensed game will show up. They are in the listing as 'date CG: away@home'.

The videos are free, no account needed.

There are two video quality settings, low and high. I have added 'Video Rate' to the configuration setup. If you have an n810, you should only select 'low' (it's the default). If you have an n900, I'd be interested in knowing if it can handle the 'high' video rate. The 'low' video quality is very poor. The 'high' quality looks better on my Windows box, but won't play on the n810. I also found some 'flash' highlights but those won't play on the n810 either.

I re-added auto refresh of the game page. Much faster this time. There is a drop down with the refresh rate. Default is 15 seconds. Other options are 0, 30 and 60 seconds. Changes to the refresh rate will be stored in your config file.

I also added batter, pitcher and outs. I also added an image to display the current base runners. These update based on the refresh rate, but also are dependent on when MLB.com updates its info.

I still would like to tackle the main page refresh speed, but it may be a while before I get to it.

I have a Red Sox citizen account which includes game day audio

I can login to mlb with my e-mail and password

any help appreciated
