It does seem that way but I don't think it really is, I thought GA was a **** when I first game here but he has grown on me. Even though we seem to not agree on well everything.

Edit: No offence intended GA.

a little...huh..you have supposed gurus telling people to search...nice...real nice...:)...even trying to justify it to others...using a snr anology...:eek:..its all well and good...to do repetitive searches...if you have the time...and are so inclined the people who discover new things could make a wiki page...so people dont have to wade thru 20 pages to find the answers

Not all of use give just search it answers I for one help people when ever I can and if I find an answer for someone I try and wiki it. I think I am in the top 10 or some of people who post stuff to wiki. When ever I see a just search it post I try and find the answer for people. So they don't feel bad about people telling them to search search search. Now if there is an active topic we are posting on that day and they can find the answer they are an idiot. :)

Edit: What the Heck is this thread even about anymore?

Oh Joe you do NOT want to drag up that argument! If you really thought about what you just said but from the perspective of a "guru" you'd see some fatal flaws in it... ;)

It's about what happens when a cathartic rant runs out of steam. :D

Wait since I only 223 post I'm not a guru yet. Thats cool, but I think Reggie needs to add a new User Title "Tablet Guru".

What I was alluding to is that EVERY "guru" here is an UNPAID volunteer... with no sort of recognition whatsoever other than the word Thanks on occasion... and you're complaining about the time questioners have to expend in searching. What about the time experts have to expend in repeating the same answers over and over and over and over and over again (which, ironically, drives up the post count)? Or the time they would have to expend in maintaining the wiki?

I'm not trying to be confrontational. I'd just like you to think about the flip side.

@andy i agree...over say 2000 tablet guru....and the number i stated was arbitrary....
@texrat...It's about what happens when a cathartic rant runs out of steam. ...vey true....:p...and in response to that last...your right...al the poeple who have struggled to glean that gem of useful info do deserve credit...more than just thanks...as for unpaid thats true too...just very satisfied that they contribute (assumption)
