(Yeah, it needs some integration; the script is great for CLI-happy wierdos like you, but Canola really should handle it... or something.)

i though that was what linux in general was for...cli happy people...

I seriously think that method should be shoehorned into a future Mediaplayer or Canola update. I guarantee that 90% of people who transfer their DivX videos-of-questionable-origin to their tablet and then press "Play" will not care, nay, they will not notice, if the video is down sampled before playing. But they do notice if the video playback is choppy.

Yes, I agree. But scripts are good for experimentation... <elite>once we get the parameters right, then it can be produced for the masses.</elite>

Actually, I paid almost exactly the same amount for my Pad as what I forked over for my N800, but I agree that new it was more expensive than a N800. Then again, the Pad has a thumbboard, so maybe it should be compared with the N810?

I already acknowledged that in my first reply. Also, it needs 12 volts to charge, it's white and it doesn't have a SD slot. I think that covers everything.

No, you missed that it's named after the principal ingredient of tarts. (That's a bad point, in case you couldn't tell...)
