How about some GRASS (or at least QGIS)?

Well I thought the title was catchy :)
Anyways GRASS:
Geographic Resources Analysis Support System
Quote:

Commonly referred to as GRASS, this is a Geographic Information System (GIS) used for geospatial data management and analysis, image processing, graphics/maps production, spatial modeling, and visualization. GRASS is currently used in academic and commercial settings around the world, as well as by many governmental agencies and environmental consulting companies. GRASS is official project of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation.
This is a powerful, feature-laden GIS.

There is an offshoot, Quantum GIS (often abbreviated to QGIS).

Recently QGIS has been ported to an eeePC using an 8GB SDHC card.

Thus it seems that the N810 with some tweaking of QGIS (fewer modules, etc) MIGHT COULD run QGIS.

This would open a whole new world of ultramobile data collection for the GIS community.

So, has anyone tried it? Not GRASS but compiling QGIS for the N8?0.

GIS is already pretty unuseable on 12" screens and you want it on a 4" screen?

edit:
Argh! Guilty on dead thread desecration.
