I play with flasher and flasher-2.0 on Ubuntu running off a cd a bit. I flashed with both to disable rd mode. When I query with flasher the N770 show up as production mode, but with flasher-2.0 it show up RD mode. Is there any other way to disable rd mode so it register correctly on flasher-2.0. My screen is still white with blurred vertical color lines.

acdzip, I am sorry but it sounds like flashing will not solve your problem.
You have the infamous screen failure... if I were you I would ship it back to nokia or wherever you bought it and get a new unit.

I knew it was beyond flashing this morning, but just can help myself. Anyhow the N770 is being FedEX to the Florida shop right now. Has any other members got their 2006OS root enable with sudo ./flasher --enable-rd-mode --reboot? Maybe my problem was the fact that I flashed the 2006OS with the window wizard and tried to enable root with vmware + ubuntu later. Hopefully the none beta release will be out by the time I get the device back!

Maybe I just missed it, but I don't remember seeing anone mention the fact that bookmarks now come up within the browser window, rather than as a seperate program on the 2005 OS. Also, Google Reader works!! I am stoked.
