Cool App, much improved from the first incarnation. I really love the integrated contacts and auto login. DialCentral is now my main SIP app! Keep up the good work.

I guess try with 0.8.0-9 and see if it still happens.

epage: Thanks for the explination. Currently, I only sometimes use my GC contacts, and mostly just dial numbers by hand. I figured I'd throw in the request because someone else might want it, and I might even use it if implemented. Not a big deal at all, though.

Oh, and I don't think I said this in my last couple of posts: You guys have done a GREAT job. Keep up the good work!

just installed it and it looks great. though how will we get evolution support? and will it handle contacts from the contacts app that comes w/ the OS.

The contacts app uses the EDS (Evolution Data Service?) as its backend. This allows people to use evolution API and D-Bus. So in theory, making it work with evolution on the desktop would make it work with the built-in contacts support that comes with the OS though I have a suspicion that something is slightly different but cannot test it with my ancient 770. We might need to switch to DBus or use in tandem a library called abook for Maemo contacts to work.

I'm having a strange issue where I can't seem to log in normally (non-root) in dialcentral. If I run it from ssh on my desktop, it logs in just fine. Now when I fire it back up as non-root the login prompt doesn't even come up anymore, even after clicking the clear authentication information button under the Account tab. It's been a long night, I'll try again later.

Hmm... check /home/user/.gc_dialer_cookies.txt to make sure it's not owned by root... hell, you can just delete it and it should reset everything.

It was owned by user but I think it may have been due to a zero or next-to-zero free space on rootfs issue I had last night. I just deleted that file (it was 0 bytes anyway) and retried and it logs in just fine now :)

Because of the lack of yelling and screaming I have moved 0.8.0-9 into extras. I will be adding this to the download site shortly as well.

My next task will be to sync back up with epage and get the SVN in order.
